Do you find that when you hit a block in your business or in your personal life, you start to beat yourself up?

Today’s blog is exploring what that resistance is about, and why you should actually be celebrating it when it comes up.

What is the resistance?

The resistance – or an energetic block as it’s often called – is basically an old belief or an old memory that you still hold in your energy body.

The reason why it comes up is because you’ve expanded and moved into more of who you are, or perhaps your business is expanding and up levelling, so what happens with that expansion is that the old familiar energetic realises that that’s not the norm and comes in to bring back the energy that’s familiar.

What happens is, you feel amazing because things are going great. Maybe you’ve made some changes in your business, some changes in your life, you’ve expanded out and you’re absolutely thriving.

Then suddenly you wake up and the fear comes up.

And you wonder, ‘Why is this here? I’ve released this. I’ve done this before. Why? Why is it back again?’

Then you start beating yourself up around it.

I have three things that you should do when this stuff comes up.

1. Celebrate it

What it’s telling you is that you’ve expanded and grown.

The way I often describe it is that you’ve gone around the spiral. You’ve shifted your energy, you’ve shifted your vibration and then you’ve just hit that point again where that same belief or memory has come up.

The most important thing that you can do for this is to see it.

Instead of getting caught up in the energy of it, dragging yourself down and beating yourself up, just see it.

Recognise that you’ve still got a memory or belief that you haven’t cleared, and that the reason why it’s coming up is because you’ve grown, expanded and you’re not the same you as before.

If you don’t want to hit resistance, don’t change.

See it and celebrate what it means and where you’ve come.

2. Journal on it

Rather than get bogged down in it, journal on it.

Write about it. Write about the fear. Let it out and clear it.

3. Ho’oponopono

Something that I love to do and find very helpful is to use the ho’oponopono.

The ho’oponopono is a Hawaiian forgiveness mantra (you might like to do a little bit of research on it if you don’t know about it), but it’s basically four statements.

I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.

The statements can be used in any order, and it is the most empowering way to shift the energy between yourself and a situation or yourself and another person, because you are taking full responsibility for it.

When that resistance comes up, if you use the ho’oponopono and the energy of the ho’oponopono in that situation, it shifts that belief or that memory.

It’s very powerful to the point where that resistance no longer has any charge.

That is my third suggestion for what you can do when you encounter this resistance.

You can celebrate it instead of dragging yourself down into a denser energy around it.

Please comment below what that brought up for you, and how you’re going to do things differently moving forward.
