What do branding colours reveal about your business?

In this blog, I’m going to explore how your choice of branding colours affects your business’s energy body.

I’m also going to give you a few tips around either choosing your branding colours or if you already have those colours, how you can use them to support your business further.

The thing to understand is that your business has an energy body, and the energy body is just like your energy body in that it has seven main chakras.

Each of those chakras is associated with a colour.

You’ve got red for the base or the root chakra, orange for the sacral chakra, yellow for the solar plexus, green for the heart, blue for the throat, indigo for the third eye and violet for the crown. The crown is also often associated with white.

There’s also a pink energy associated with the heart, which is often the higher heart that sits over the thymus between the heart and the throat chakra.

The other colour you’ll see is black, which is associated with the earth star chakra (12 inches below your feet).

All of these can have a very different impact on your business, depending on how you use it in your branding.

If you have one or two of those colours in your branding, they are emphasising that chakra in your business. That can be very powerful because it strengthens it. Every time your business as an entity is seen by someone, it’s through the lens of those colours.

So it’s really giving strength to those chakras.

If you’ve got a lot of blue, it’s strengthening the communication aspect of your business. This also affects clients who are attracted to it, possibly because it’s also what they’re looking for.

The other thing to realise is that it gives emphasis to that chakra, but if that chakra in your business has blocks in it, it’s almost like it stirs up those blocks to help release them, but it can also really bring them to the surface. So there can be a bit of crappy stuff around that as well.

Just realise that when you are giving your business those colours, you are really putting energy into that chakra – you are moving energy into that chakra in your business.

Here’s how you can use this is:

1. Have a look at which chakras your branding colours are associated with

Make sure that those chakras are the focus of your business.

If you have a really grounded business, you’re appealing to people who are coming in wanting tangible results and you’re using purple or violet (which is a very upper chakra colour), it’s like a conflict of energies.

You can look at it from the perspective of: Are these colours representing what the purpose of my business is, and what the vision of my business is?

Then if you need to, you can tweak it.

2. Are they balanced?

Many women offering healing and coaching services are often very drawn to the heart and throat, or, if they’ve got a lot more etheric energy in their business, they might be drawn to the third eye and crown colours – purples and whites.

That’s beautiful and it focuses on that energy, but if your business isn’t successful, if its systems are not in place, and if it’s really not bringing in money, then you might have to consider incorporating some of that grounded energy into your business.

There are obviously lots of ways to do that, but colour is a way to bring in a more grounded energy. You might bring in some black to bring some earth energy through, or you might put a dash of red or orange in just to bring some of those lower chakra energies in.

You could just play around with that to bring more of a balance into the energy body of your business through the colour.

3. You may get the desire to change your branding due to your business’s energy body changing

Your business needs colours that are going to support the chakras that are more active in the stage it’s in now. This is why you can suddenly look at your branding and think, ‘Oh, that doesn’t feel like it’s me anymore, it doesn’t feel like it’s the business anymore’. And you may find you are inspired by completely different colours.

But those new colours are probably the energy that your business needs to stay aligned with the clients it wants to attract in.

I hope that gives you a lot to think about in terms of your branding colours – whether you currently have colours or you’re choosing some colours right now.

If you’ve had any insights from this, pop them in the comments and share with me what your colours are and any changes that you think you might make.
