Priestess of the Sacred Waters Pilgrimage in Sardinia, Italy
1-8 June, 2026

Sardinia is a sacred island where water IS the goddess. The ancient Nuragic people from the Bronze age built exquisite sites focused around ceremonial wells, where they honoured water as the goddess incarnate. Whereas many other ancient civilisations created figurines to represent the Great Mother, the Nuragic chose not to put her energy into form, they simply allowed her to flow.

Water was sacred.

Join Jacquelyn on a Rose Line pilgrimage to this exquisite landscape to explore the many faces of the water goddess present here. From the sea to the thermal springs, to the rivers, to the lakes and to the sacred wells, this is a journey for seven sisters who are ready to remember their essence as a Priestess of the Sacred Waters.

We will walk in devotion to this powerful expression of the Great Goddess.
We will immerse ourselves in the frequency of this ancient land.
We will swim and play in Her arms.
We will celebrate Her in ceremony.
We will remember our many incarnations throughout the world as Priestesses of the Sacred Waters.
We will undergo rebirth in the sacred waters of Gaia.

Details of your Sacred Pilgrimage

OUTLINE – 8 DAYS / 7 NIGHTS

June 1: Depart from Cagliari Airport at 10am
June 1-3: 2 nights in Sorradile
June 3-6: 3 nights in Esterzili
June 6-8: 2 nights in Cala Gonone
June 8: Return to Cagliari Airport by 5pm

THE OVERALL JOURNEY

● Our pilgrimage will weave its way throughout the lower half of Sardinia as we follow the spirit of The Waters. This is a journey of flow and movement, with our three nights in Esterzili in the middle of our pilgrimage giving us time to ground and retreat.

● Our sacred circles will be held at the ancient sites we visit and sometimes at our accommodation, two of which are designed for retreats. As with all my journeys, we simply go with the flow and respond to the land (and of course the water!) when she calls for us to gather in ceremony.

MONDAY JUNE 1 – CAGLIARI TO SORRADILE

● We’ll meet at Cagliari airport at 10am to commence our journey. After purchasing goodies for a picnic lunch, we have a 30 minute drive to Grotta di San Giovanni, one of Sardinia’s most spectacular caves which is actually a river cave, but the river only flows through after heavy winter rains. This cave is a majestic cathedral and we’ll walk reverently along the 850 metre path through the womb of the cave, emerging at the Forest of Marganai where we’ll enjoy our picnic and hold an opening circle by the river.

● Returning through the cave for another walking meditation, we’ll then continue our journey north. Although our beautiful accommodation at the village of Sorradile is a two hour drive, we’ll stop en-route at one of Sardinia’s gorgeous beaches before heading inland to our peaceful retreat venue, Su Ferreri Guesthouse. We’ll have dinner at a nearby restaurant.

TUESDAY JUNE 2 – SORRADILE

After an early breakfast, we leave at 8am for the magnificent 3200 year old Pozzo di Santa Cristina, one of the best preserved sacred Nuragic wells. We’ll arrive at opening time so that we can hold our sacred circle in the vicinity of the well without many other visitors. This well has such a powerful energy and is aligned to the equinoxes when the sun shines down the stairs. However at any time of the year, the vibrational frequency has been shown to dramatically increase on the Bovis scale with each step down. You can truly feel it! This was undoubtedly a path of initiation, before immersion in the waters at the bottom. After our sacred water priestess ceremony, we’ll explore the remainder of the Nuragic archaeological site of Santa Cristina.

● Returning to our retreat at Sorradile for the afternoon, we have the opportunity for a circle, sauna, walk in the woods or to the old Santa Maria Turrana church, or you may simply wish to have time alone. For dinner, we’ll decide whether we wish to create our own feast or dine out.

WEDNESDAY JUNE 3 – SORRADILE TO ESTERZILI

After breakfast we’ll farewell Sorradile at 9am and drive 30 minutes to the town of Fordongianus on the Tirso River, well known for its ancient Roman baths. Archaeologists are still excavating this extensive site, where countless cultures have enjoyed the the curative properties of its sulphurous waters of 54°C (129°F). As you marvel at the complex, imaging what it used to be and wishing it was still functional, you’ll be relieved to know that there are some 18th century thermal baths nearby! Is Bangius is an intimate, secluded place with the baths fed from the river with the water temperature between 41-43°C (105-109°F). We’ll immerse in the sacred waters of these baths before exploring the Roman bath complex. We’ll have lunch outdoors at a quirky cafe near the baths.

After lunch, a two hour drive up the mountains with some special stops on the way, brings us to the village of Esterzili and our delightful host for our three nights at the Nuragic Temple, Alessandro Olianis.

Alessandro is a Nuragic lineage keeper and has created the extraordinary Nuragic Temple in his grandparent’s village of Esterzili where he regularly visited as a child and now lives. Discover more about Alessandro and Nuragic Shamanic Healing here. Alessandro’s calling has involved revitalising the connection to the Nuragic culture and sharing this with the many visitors who are being called to his Temple. He has engaged the village in his mission, from their assistance with the rebuild of the Nuragic Temple where he hosts his retreats, to the cooking of the meals and providing apartments for retreat participants. The small village museum has also had a new lease of life! Esterzili is the perfect location for us to drop into the deeper aspect of this pilgrimage, with ceremonies hosted by both Alessandro and myself.

● When we arrive late afternoon, you’ll be shown your village apartment and then will gather at the Temple for a traditional dinner prepared with love by some of the villagers. All our meals here will be approached with ceremony.

THURSDAY JUNE 4TH – ESTERZILI

After breakfast we’ll meet at the village museum where Alessandro will share his wisdom on the Nuragic civilisation. This will focus on the symbolism, spirituality and the worship traditions of the ancient Nuragic culture. He’ll then honour each of us with a sacred water blessing.

● After a wonderful lunch banquet at the Nuragic Temple, we’ll have some free time. You may choose to spend some time alone, or perhaps explore the village, connect with the locals, and discover some of the ancient springs where we can drink the pure water.

● Gathering back at the Temple for a late afternoon circle, we’ll then indulge in handmade pizza from a generous neighbour for dinner!

FRIDAY JUNE 5TH – ESTERZILI

● Today is a very special day! After a leisurely breakfast we’ll leave mid-morning to head up the mountain to one of the powerful sacred sites. Alessandro will guide us through a Nuragic Medicine Wheel workshop. This experiential workshop will connect us with the spirit animals and archetypes of ancient Sardinia. The workshop takes about 4 hours so we will break in the middle for a light lunch.

Once the workshop is complete, we’ll move to another Nuragic sacred place for our powerful closing ceremony led by Alessandro.

● We’ll return to the Temple for another amazing locally-prepared meal and then sit together under the starlit sky immersed in the joy of our day.

SATURDAY JUNE 6TH – ESTERZILI TO CALA GONONE

● After breakfast I’ll hold a circle in the Temple and then we’ll leave Esterzili for a 2.5 hour drive along the mountains to the coast and our next destination, Cala Gonone, stopping for lunch on the way. Your first glimpse of the Tyrrhenian Sea (part of the Mediterranean) is bound to leave you breathless. Our accommodation here, Hotel Pranos, sits above the town and has spectacular sea views! It is located right next to the archaeological site of Nurgaghe Mannu, so the land is also incredibly activated.

● After settling in, we’ll walk “next door” to explore Nurgahe Mannu, then drive down to the beach for a blessing from the sea! We’ll dine at a very relaxed restaurant near the beach.

SUNDAY JUNE 7TH – CALA GONONE

● We’ll have an early breakfast at the hotel before driving to Cala Gonone Marina to meet the skipper of our private boat trip in the Gulf of Orosei. We will spend all day on the water anchoring at the exquisite Pools of Venus (Piscine de Veneres) for a swim, visiting hidden coves, stopping at two pristine beaches and having a guided tour of the Bue Marino caves. We’ll take a packed lunch and drinks with us, and have a Venusian gathering on the shore to celebrate our baptism in the Pools of Venus!

● When we return to the marina we’ll eat an early dinner in a lovely restaurant by the water – it is our last night together as Priestesses of the Sacred Waters after all! Then we’ll return to out hotel to continue the celebration under the expansive sky.

MONDAY JUNE 8TH – CALA GONONE TO CAGLIARI

● After breakfast we will depart Cala Gonone for a one hour drive to visit the most sacred Nuragic fountain I encountered in my 2025 travels – Fonte Sacra Su Tempiesu at Orune. It is a little more difficult to get to in terms of driving and walking, and so doesn’t have the tourism of many others. We will have our final circle at this exquisite location before the 2.5 hour drive back to Cagliari, stopping at a restaurant for a late lunch en-route.

● We’ll arrive at Cagliari airport by 5pm. Unless you have an evening flight, you’ll need to stay the night in Cagliari. It’s a short train ride from the airport to the city. This accommodation is for you to organise.
